selling your home this winter lauer realty group

Hey everybody. Mark Gladue here, Broker Associate with Lauer Realty Group. I wanted to jump on and tell you about why it's such a good time to sell your home in the winter.

You can see we have lots of snow, lots of ice on Lake Monona. So why is now such a great time to sell your home? Who wants to move in this weather?

Well, inventory is low, and what that means is if inventory is low, the seller demands a higher price. If you're one of the few homes in your neighborhood for sale, you could see anywhere between 5-10% more than what you might see this summer.

The second reason: interest rates will go up.

We don't know how far they'll go up. I’ve seen it predicted 5.75%, we're at 4.35% right now. But they could go up, and if they do, the buyer who's looking at your home has less purchasing power.

The third and final reason is: why wouldn't you?

If you've been thinking about selling this winter, now is the perfect time to get the most money for your house, in the shortest amount of time, and leverage that closing date.

If you're looking to move up in a house, or if you're looking to downsize, you can do so pretty quickly this winter.

Again, I'm with Lauer Realty Group, and I’m Gladue Stopped By.
