Mark Gladue Lauer Realty Group Gladue Stopped By Taking a Tour of the Monona Neighborhood

Hey, it's Mark Gladue, and welcome to another installment of Gladue Stopped By.

This week I’m in Monona, Wisconsin standing in front of the Monona Bait and Ice Cream Shop which is one of the most popular places for all people in Madison to visi. Yes, you can get your nightcrawlers and you can also get your Babcock Ice Cream and sundaes.

So, Monona, Wisconsin was formed as a village in 1938, and then the population grew so much that they had to transition to a city with all its own services in 1969.

If we look at home sales, here's what we know. From the time of recording in 2021, there were 87 home sales here in Monona. The highest home sale was around 1.7 million dollars over on Tonyawatha Trail. The median home price in Monona, Wisconsin is $340,000 and the median days on market, seven, just seven, so it’s obviously a really popular neighborhood.

I ended my tour of Monona standing at the Yahara River, at the brand new Grand Crossing Park. It features an ice rink. Nearby are you’ve got Buck & Honey's, Forage Kitchen, True Coffee Roasters. Tasting Room is a great place if you want to enjoy a fine cocktail. There are just lots of great new places to check out while you're here in Monona.

So if you’re interested in moving to Monona, or anywhere in the Greater Madison area, please reach out. You’ll be glad you did, and as always, I’m glad you stopped by.
